Hello from Wigs Etc.
If you are reading this, you are probably one of the innumerable women suffering from hair loss. I had no idea so many of us were suffering hair loss until I began losing my own hair. My reason, scarring alopecia. Your reason, well there are so many possibilities; the effects of cancer treatments, aging, heredity, trauma, stress or maybe one of the forms of alopecia. Hopefully you are one of the women that is experiencing only temporary hair loss. Temporary or not, I know from experience, it can be very traumatic. As my hair loss progressed, I became more and more self-conscious and my confidence waned. As I was advised there is no remedy for scarring alopecia, I needed a solution!! And, that’s when I found the wonderful world of alternative hair (aka wigs, etc.). I learned that wigs have undergone great technological advancements and are now hard to discern from bio hair. Happy dance – no need to be embarrassed about wearing wigs!!
My experience led me to starting my business, Wigs etc. and I’m loving it. This whole hair loss “tragedy” has taught me that “it’s not my fault and I’m not alone!!”
In an effort to assist people with their hair loss situation, I have started to offer free virtual online consultations as well as in-home or onsite consultations (for a fee). I know that you don’t always want to go to a shop and try on wigs while numerous people are milling about. We shouldn’t be embarrassed, however often times we are, and would rather keep our hair loss private. Talking to someone that has experienced what you are experiencing can be quite liberating. You begin to realize your are one of many and somehow that helps!
I hope something positive can come from your experience too, maybe a deeper and more meaningful self-confidence than you had before.
